For retailers, Christmas is the Super Bowl. It can make or break your entire year’s profit. But buying Christmas decor is a high-stakes game. Order too little, and you miss out on sales. Order too much, and you are stuck with inventory for 11 months. Here is your buying guide for artificial Christmas flowers and decor.
1. Start Early (Like, Really Early):
If you want the best prices and the best selection, you need to place your orders in February or March. By June, most factories are fully booked for the Christmas season. If you wait until September, you will pay premium prices and may face shortages.
2. The “Real Touch” Christmas:
Consumers are tired of shiny, plastic-looking Christmas trees. They want “Real Touch” pine needles and flocked (snow-covered) branches. Look for PVC and PE mixed needles for the most realistic look.
3. Top Selling Items:
- Wreaths: 24-inch and 36-inch are the sweet spots for front doors.
- Garlands: 9-foot garlands for mantels and staircases.
- Picks and Sprays: Small branches with berries and pinecones for DIY arrangements.

4. Fire Safety:
This is non-negotiable. Ensure your supplier provides fire-retardant certificates. Many commercial venues (malls, offices) will not allow you to install decor without them.
